The family members stated that the MS Manduli has been in and out of hospital but she was making good progress.
However, on Wednesday afternoon her condition deteriorated and she died at her home in Nairobi.
Manduli who has been out of the public service had also suffered a heart attack but she recovered, according to sources.
She enjoyed it being in the public eyes and love it even more when she was referred to as Ambassador at the International Council of Women's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Program and Habitat.
Most kenyans know her for her beautiful, unique and massive head scarfs that more often that not matched the Nigerian style of dresses, of which she used to love so much.
