7-Days of Rainfall Expected In These Regions

The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) Continues to carry out its mandate of issuing weather and climate updates in the country as May which marks the last month of rainfall season gets to the third week. Based on the latest weather update by the Department on their website, light to moderate rainfall is expected over some parts of Coastal region together with parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley.

Also, some parts over the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley shall expect the same intensity of rainfall. This is valid between 17th to 23rd of May 2022 which Is a range of one week. According to the Department, other parts of the country will experience a period of dryness.

Given this forecast on the conditions of the atmosphere, these regions shall have maximum temperatures during the day while the temperatures shall fall during the night hours. Both daytime and night time temperatures are likely to be moderate.

Those residing over the parts of Northeastern Kenya, Parts of Coast and also Northwestern Kenya are however urged to brace for Strong southerly to south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25knots of about 12.9m/s within the next one week.
