Kenya is facing the worst drought in history. Many kenyans are suffering due to hunger and drought. Animals are doing everyday and kenyans in atleast 13 drought affected counties are going through difficult times. Children are worst affected and majority of those who are school going are unable to go to school and concentrate with studies.
Government is coming up with measures to mitigate drought situation in the country. Kenyans from different walk of life have been asked to contribute money to help those who are adversely affect by drought.
Yesterday, government came up with paybill number to enable kenyans contribute money to help those affected by drought in the country. Kenyans were advised to contribute whatever they have to help. Today, president William Ruto and his cabinet have decided to forego on month salary in solidarity with those who have been affected by drought. The money will be channelled to relief kitty to help kenyans who are in dare need of food. This is good news to kenyans as president William Ruto and his cabinet are leading by example.
