"The Abnormality Of These Murders Cannot Be A Norm" Former PM Intervenes On The Increasing GBV

Gender based violence in the country has turned out to be a new norm among Kenyans which has left several innocent people dead.

Since the year begun, several ladies have lost their lives to brutality with their assailants coming out confessing their acts claiming that they were pushed by jealous.

The lastest case of Catherine Gitonga Nyokabi left Kenyans shocked as the married man and Kiambu business man, Evans Karani, confessed to have murdered her.

He badly mutilated her and left her in an abandoned car after they got stuck in some mud as he was going to dump her body to hide the evidence.

Orange Democratic Movement leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has come in to intervene on the rate at which the country is experiencing GBV.

Raila Odinga has rebuked all men who have turned out to be killers after they soothe these ladies to agree to be with them then loose their lives afterwards.

Raila Odinga was quoted by Kenyans.co.ke podcast saying; "It is unfortunate that after winning their partner’s heart, instead of going on to cherish and love them, some suddenly turn physical, and at times horrifically end up killing them.

This scourge must come to an end. The abnormality of these murders cannot become the norm. No!" This is a major concern to everyone who should be cautious when choosing who to love and live with.
