The National Police Service has taken note of one video that has been shared by many people concerning a police officer who was captured walking alone while appearing drunk. The video that was shared on social media shows the uniformed police appearing totally drunk while walking.
According to NPS, a uniformed police officer is a visible representation and face of government and they are required to remain extremely disciplined and professional while on duty.
Fortunately, the Buruburu police command has already taken correctional measures for the situation. The matter is currently under internal investigations and it will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
NPS has told Kenyans they hold their officers accountable with regards to matters of discipline, decorum, and conduct to ensure efficient and effective service provision to the members of the public. Kenyans have welcomed the decision by the National Police Service to follow up with the incident and deal with the officer.
