Man arrested for killing a customer because of ksh 400 debt

Killings have becoming a normality in the recent weeks in the country.There have been dark moments in most parts of the country and Bomet has not been left behind.

A man in Bomet was arrested yesterday October 24 after taking his customer's life over a debt of 400 shillings.Evans Mutai who is a shopkeeper at Sibaiyan location stabbed a customer who was identified as Festus Keter, a 35 year old resident.

After the stabbing the man on the chest ,the shopkeeper continued with his daily activities in the shop not even concerned of what had happened.The directorate of criminal investigation confirmed that an argument had arise between the two over the debt.

Keter died outside the shop after being stapped on the left side of the chest.A neighbour identified his body and alarmed the police at the nearby Chesoen police station.

Police arrived at the crime scene and conducted a preliminary investigation before arresting the suspect.Keter's body was taken to Longisa hospital while the suspect will wait until Monday to answer court charges on murder.
