25-Year-Old Husband To Woman Who Delivered Five Children in Kisii Says He wanted to Be a Priest

Douglas Nyaoko, a father to quintuplets born in Kisii has revealed he wanted to join Priesthood before he decided to start a family.

Speaking to KTN News on Saturday, Douglas Nyaoko a plumber by Profession expressed his elation after his wife gave birth to the five children saying she had encountered Sleepless nights.

According to Douglas, Kisii Cathedral Vicar General Joseph Obanyi had encouraged him to pursue Priesthood but his family warned him that they won't foot his fees.

Douglas, who did his KCSE exams in 2018 but financial difficulties made it impossible for him to proceed to college.

He has been doing menial jobs to sustain his family and he therefore admitted to the Standard that it will be challenging to raise his family.

The man, who is the last born in in a family of seven children is married to Sellah Nyanchera.

Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Head of Clinical Services Dr Bina Ongaki said the child were are in good condition.

The the first child weighed 1.5 kilograms, the second 1.2, the third and fourth 1.5 while the fifth weighed 1.1 kilograms.

Kisii County Women Representative Janet Ongera pledged to support the family.
