Over the past few months, cases of accidents have increased at an alarming rate. Some caused by reckless driving, others due to bribes and others due to vehicles mechanical problems.
A bus belonging to Complaint Sacco has ploughed into several vehicles at Ngong road during the evening rush hour on Wednesday, January 19.
Reports indicate that some cars have overturned during the multiple accident.
The bus is still stuck in a ditch and it appears to be completely destroyed from the accident.
Witnesses say that the bus' brakes failed and as the driver attempted to avoid a crash, he swerved and hit several other vehicle creating a dangerous ripple effect which involved many other vehicles.
It is alleged that the driver of the bus has fled from the scene.
According to police reports, atleast 60 people have been killed and scores injured in road accidents since January 1, 2022.
By the end of 2021, some 4,579 people had been killed in accidents in the country.
Motorists have been advised to always be careful to avoid some of the accidents witnessed on our roads on a daily basis.
