Governor Wycliffe Oparanya yesterday chaired a consultative meeting on the County Annual Development Plan for the Financial Year 2022/2023 urging Ministries to prioritize key projects that will benefit residents.
Deputy Governor Prof Philip Kutima who chaired the morning session said the one year ADP focuses on the priority areas, planning and resource mobilization to the achieve the development agenda for the County.
"We must work within the stipulated timelines and ensure we submit this document to the County Assembly by September 1st, 2021," said Prof Kutima.
"The next financial year budget must be ready by April 2022 because National Assembly and County Assemblies will be dissolved by May 2022 in readiness for elections," said Dr Sabana.
She thanked Chief Officers and Planners in each department for developing the draft ADP that the meeting seeks to validate.
"This is the last ADP for H.E the Governor before end of his tenure. We need to validate it to fit the context of 2022," she said.
In yesterday's session; Health Services, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives, Education, Science and Technology, Roads, Public Works and Energy, Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Areas, and Social Services, Youth, Sports and Culture presented their 'wish list' today.
Today; Trade, Industrialization and Tourism, Public Service and Administration, Office of the Governor and Finance, Economic Planning and ICT will make their presentation before the Governor officially closes the meeting.
CECMs, County Secretary and Head of Public Service Madam Jacinta Aluoch, Chief Officers, Chairperson and CEO of CPSB, CBEF members led by Secretary Rev William Ouya, Directors among other senior officers were present.
