Kisii: Police Arrest A Woman Who Allegedly Beat Her Daughter To Death Over 10Ksh Ment For Chapati

Police in Kisii has arrested a 25-year-old woman who had allegedly killed her daughter after she lost 10 shillings meant for chapati.

According to the news source, Grace Nyandusi( the suspect) sent the minor to buy her chapati at a local market in "Nyaribari Chache".

Reportedly the minor was running through a sugarcane farm where she mistakenly lost the money.

She went back to report the incident to her mother who turned against her and allegedly hit her with a chapati roller on her head.

The minor fell unconscious, upon realizing her mistake she screamed to create an alarm for the neighbors.

It took time for the police to disperse the mob that wanted to lynch the woman for what she had done.

According to the area's assistant chief Calvin Kengara, the child's father was away in Nairobi during the incident. The suspect was arrested and expected to be arraigned in court to face murder charges.
