RIP: Employer of House help Murdered By Evans Kembwaro Reveals Last Moments With Her

Evans Kembwaro, the prime suspect in the Mawanga murders confessed to killing 3 women among them Akinyi who died in December 2021.

Akinyi's employer Waithera told Inooro TV that on the fateful day, she planted flowers in the morning with Akinyi. She left for work and upon coming back, there was smoke in the house. She called villagers who helped her put out the fire. Little did they know that Akinyi had been burnt in the house.

They suspected that she was a rogue househelp and had burnt the house before escaping.

After putting out the fire, they waited until the next day to remove the items which had been destroyed and dispose them. While pulling out the bed, the men who had been hired to remove the household items saw Akinyi's body.

Surprisingly, Akinyi's phone which has now been found with the suspect Kebwaro kept sending messages even after her body was found.

Akinyi had just completed form four and was set to join college in a few months time. She looked for a househelp job to top up cash since she was from a humble background.
