A funeral service of a woman in Kapmeswon village in Sotik, Bomet County was on today Thursday cut short after a swarm of bees attacked mourners.

According to the source from the area, they revealed that the bees attacked the mourners simply because it was disturbed by the music from the burial ceremony but they have to consult the elders about the issue.

The family was forced to return the woman’s body to the morgue and reschedule burial plans to fit the Kipsigis tradition.

This is after it emerged that the alleged husband to the woman had not paid dowry for the deceased wife. The elder the advice people not to abardon traditional practices and take it seriously.
