The number of accidents in Nyeri county have been on an alarming increase, this is after a motorbike operator missed death by a whisker when he collided with a Matatu. Today morning has witnessed another Deadly accident along the Nyeri Chaka road, in the steepy topography of the region, a Motorbike operator risked descending down the clip when he collided with a 2NK Matatu plying that route.
The Matatu driver was on slow motion as this segment of the road is risky and has guardrails damaged. According to eye witness the collision impact resulted to a sudden stop of the Matatu as it developed mechanical problem.
Scores were injured in the early morning accident and have been rushed to Outspan Hospital in Nyeri, there are no recorded deaths from the incident and drivers are urgent to be cautious while on the road. Safe driving speed result to less damage and casualties in case of an accident. Motorbike operators are urged to remain cautious, exercise patience and obey traffic rules.
