There has happened a grisly accident at Chaka in Nyeri county this midday. Whereby, a train rammed at a personal car that was crossing the railway at the time and one person is feared dead.The train the was squeezed by the railway side as a result.
It is not yet clear whether the driver of the personal car is alive but rescue process is ongoing. According to neighbours,who turned up to rescue the victims, they heard a deep sound something which prompted them to rush to the scene.
This comes at a time when the train accidents are increasing.Whereby, its almost a week after another train made accident at Makindu killing a motorbike rider.Also,a month ago ,another train slipped from the rails and stood by the railside at Kambu in Makueni.
All these accidents are yet to be established the cause. Could it be poor training of the drivers? Could it be mechanical problems? Could it reckless driving? Let the concerned officers do thoroughly investigation.
