Dennis Gachoki Karani, the prime suspect in last week's Mirema shooting incident, has presented himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers to clear his name.
Mr Karani, who was in the company of his lawyer, visited DCI offices on Monday morning, claiming Innocence. He says that he's being framed for the shooting of Samuel Mugoh Muvota.
While speaking to the Nation, Mr Karani revealed that he last talked to Samuel Mugoh Muvota in March last year and therefore could not have been involved in his murder.
"The last time I met him (Samuel Muvota) was in March last year," Mr Karani said.

Mr Denis Karani also disclosed that he was in Nakuru when police declared him a wanted person. He denied claims that he had fled to a neighbouring country to avoid arrest.
"I did not flee to anywhere, I was in Nakuru," Mr Karani disclosed during the interview with the Nation.
