According to Inooro television journalist the doctor is said to have injected the two minors with unknown type of drug and later used it on himself.The daughter was aged three years and the son was aged five years.This comes as a shock amidist a pandemic when family brutality is on the rise and this has caused alarm as it is happening among professionals.The man had different types of drugs in his house and they are yet to know the one used on the kids .It was a sad situation as the father was also unconscious as police were getting to the scene.
The police while addressing the journalist said that they were forced to break the door when their calls went unanswered.The two kids had foam on their mouth and the police discovered the poison had already overwhelmed them and were no longer alive.
Stephen ambani a director of criminal investigation officer says that they highligly suspect that the minors were either injected with the drugs or orally given as they await postmortem results.The father of the two indentified as James Gakaria did this while no one was at home ,his wife had traveled to Nairobi and their house help was not around.
According to the police officer is that they are yet to come in terms with death of the two minors and further investigation will be conducted on basis of toxological postmortem.The incidence happened while the wife was on academic issues in Nairobi and upon calling the husband who was not answering the phone,she engaged some few neighbours and family members only to learn of the incidence.
The wife collapsed after getting the news of the death of her children and is hospitalised in Annex hospital Nakuru where she is receiving treatment.
The suspect James Gakaria is receiving treatment in Nakuru level five hospital under watch of police officers awaiting to be arraigned in court over murder case.
