A woman who was lucky to survive during the R. Enziu accident that claimed more than 30 people has spoken revealing what happened. Juliet Mutua says that she was the only person who survived in her family since she had forgotten her face mask and went back to collect it. After some minutes she saw the bus drowning and all her family members died. She was speaking during the requiem mass of the the 32 souls who lost their lives in the accident.
Juliet said that she was held back as she tried to jump into the river to save her family members. She sat at the riverside and watched them as they were swallowed by the waters while still praying and screaming. The courageous woman says that when she saw that her sisters lifeless bodies were being laid on the river bank naked together with their children she felt so bad and rushed to a nearest shopping center to buy 'lesos' to cover them.
" I watched my sisters dying at River Enziu. I am the only survivor. I wanted to jump into the river and save them but I was pulled back by my cousin. When I saw my sisters being laid by the riverside naked, I went for lesos to cover them. I gathered courage and was carried by the best swimmer to the other side of the river and covered them", she narrated during the requiem mass.
