Deputy President William Ruto attracted a huge crowd during his Kirinyaga visit and after a church service at Kianyaga, excited residents were waiting in the area.

Ruto’s bodyguards protecting the DP’s motorcade were given a hard time after what the area residents did to Ruto’s motorcade.

As DP Ruto was leaving the church to go for his roadside rally in the area, the residents surrounded his vehicle as they escorted the motorcade.

Ruto’s driver was forced to drive slowly while the second in command was on top of his car waving to the crowd.

DP Ruto’s bodyguards who had surrounded the deputy president’s car were given a hard time by the excited residents as some were trying to get close to Ruto.

The bodyguards were forced to push some of the residents back as they tried to force their way to greet the second in command.

The residents were carrying placards of Ruto and UDA as chants of “Ruto!” and “UDA!” filled the air.

The DP’s motorcade eventually stopped as Ruto picked a microphone to address the crowd as he continues his vote hunting mission in Mt Kenya region.
