Today has been a sad day for the residents of Sotik town in Bomet county. This is after an accident that turned tragic leaving one person dead and others injured. According to eye witnesses, the passenger vehicle and the motor cycle hit one another head on causing the motor bike rider major injuries. The bike operator is reported to have died instantly on the spot.
According to fellow motorcycle riders, their colleague passed on at the scene after efforts to rush him to the nearest hospital turned futile. Residents gathered in large crowds at the accident scene causing major traffic jam with even some threatening to discipline the driver of the car involved in the accident. Vehicle drivers are also encouraged to be on the look out for those using roads inappropriately considering that many young men who are not experienced have turned into the bike ridding as source of revenue.
