According to the traffic police officer, the Nissan matatu was moving at a high speed before the driver loose control of the brakes, and the matatu jumped through the roundabout and hit an ethernet pole.
"The Nissan matatu was travelling towards Nairobi CBD when the driver loose control and the vehicle jumped through the roundabout before hitting an ethernet pole. Two workers lost their lives on the spot while one passenger broke his leg," Jeffrey said.
The Thursday morning accident caused a large traffic build up along the busy road.
Milling pedestrians who thronged the scene to have a glance at the accident could not help but watch helplessly.
The bodies of deceased were transferred to Lee funeral home awaiting postmortem and further police investigations.
The accident came only three weeks when four workers were found inside a car along the road at night.
