Nairobi ex-governor Mike Sonko took to his social media handles expressing his deepest condolences and pain after losing a close cousin.
According to Sonko a young lady by the name Wambua lost her life a few days ago.
Yesterday, Mbuvi led other family members in Makueni where they laid her to rest in a sorrowful ceremony.
"This is a sad Christmas for us as a family. As others celebrate with their families and loved ones, we are mourning the death of my very dear first cousin Joyce Mumbua Mutisya, whose mother was a sister to my late dad.
As we laid Joyce to rest today in Wote, Makueni county I personally feel a great loss as I have lost a childhood friend, one who was very close to me as we grew up together in Kwale, Wote and Kangundo living as siblings.
Rest in Peace dear cousin and God be with you till we meet again."
Details as to what led to her untimely demise still remains scanty as the news continues to unfold.
Netizens have expressed their shock and deepest condolences to his family during these trying times.
