In his speech during the launch of National Steering Committee on Drought response on Friday , 25th November, deputy president said that the aim of the committee is to help save lives of those affected by the drought countrywide.

He added that government is making special request to all Kenyans to support it in saving lives of affected kyanyan people by contributing percentage of their salaries to a pay bill which will be established soon.
Hungered netizen flooded comment section with negative comments towards deputy president's idea were by most of them claimed yo be Kenyans of bad will while others attacked government for failing to fulfill their promises.
