Eight people have died in a terrible road accident involving a Matatu and a truck along Homabay and kendu bay road towards Mosocho.The Matatu is said to have collided with the Matatu around Got kolala area few kilometers from Kendu Bay as it was trying to avoid hitting a lorry that was coming from opposite direction.
Witnesses say that the Matatu was being driven at a very high speed and was heading towards Migori was trying avoid a collision with a lorry which was also being driven at very high speed at around Got kolala area.Witnesses went ahead to say that the driver made up his mind to slow down when it was too late and the vehicle went rammed into the lorry claiming eight lives with it.
The area OCPD Mr Samson Ole Kiine has confirmed the dead bodies and has said that they have been taken them to Homabay City Mortuary where they are awaiting a post moterm to confirm the real cause of the accident.He has also urged drivers to be very watchful when using the road because for one reason they are handling fellow humans and not animals.
