Sleuths in Nairobi are currently investigating an incident where a middle-aged man was robbed off his cash after a deal went bad in Nairobi.
According to a police report seen by this writer, It was reported by a man only identified as Daniel, that he was called by his friend Dillip Otieno Hongo at Thika road mall pretending that he was going to sell a power saw machine to the reportee.
The reportee drove to Thika road mall gate "H" where he was joined by his friend Dillip Otieno Hongo and another person not known to the reportee.
While at the parking he was confronted by three other men who paused as police officers while one was armed with a pistol.
They hundcuffed the three and searched his motor vehicle Reg.number KBR Toyota mark x and took Kshs.2,200,000 shillings in cash,two laptops make HP gray and blue respectively all valued at Ksh.134,000 shillings.
They also sent Kshs.2,500 shillings from his mpesa number 0728xxxxxx to 072269269x in the names of Korir Geoffrey.
They all left together leaving the complainant at the scene of crime.
He reported the matter at kasarani police station where investigations commenced and narrowed down to one No.97188 pc Geoffrey Korir kiplangat believed to be attached to Anti stock theft unit who was arrested within kasarani area after being positively identified by the complainant.
A search was conducted and one HP laptop gray in colour,Black papers resembling Kenyan currency, certificate of appointment, national ID,oppo mobile phone and 1 notebook.
A Futher search to his residence at Ivory home in Allsops,police recovered one ceska pistol s/no G3165 loaded with 15 rounds of 9mm,one smoke jacket,one jungle trouser,one Red beret and crown badges .
The officer is ow placed in custody pending further investigations at the Kasarani police station
