Banker Reportedly Dies In A Head-on Collision Involving A Matatu And Toyota Prado in GM Road

Sad as a banker has reportedly dies in a head-on collision on Sunday night involving a matatu and Toyota Prado along GM Road, Nairobi County.

GM Road traffic police commander who confirmed the accident said the 6pm crash at GM road occurred after a Toyota Prado, collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan matatu which was moving at a high speedalong the busy highway.

The Toyota Prado had three occupants onboard. Two survived and one lost his life on the spot.

The traffic police officer Mr Ali Bakari, told the press that the deceased was an Equity bank teller in Nairobi County.

“He was a banker at one of the financial institutions in Nairobi County. He was trying to beat curfew before the accident happened,” said Ali.

The two occupants from the Prado survivor were rushed Mathare hospital for emergency treatment.

The body of the deceased was moved to Nairobi County hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

The accident brought a heavy traffic snarl up on the busy road as police and rescue teams worked tirelessly to clear the scene amid a growing number of milling crowd of shocked witnesses.
