A police officer in North Imenti in Meru County has been accused of assaulting a woman in a bar. The woman who looks to be badly beaten by the policeman. The woman has a lot of injuries on her face after the assault from the picture.
The unidentified woman, says that the police officer beat her up for reasons unbeknownst to her. This was at night when the police officer did the heinous act on the lady.
The officer was in his plains clothes but the woman has reported the matter to the police station in the area. Police say that they are investigating the matter as they look to find out what was the cause of this.
There are a lot of incidents of gender based violence in the country and people are calling on the Government to intensify the crackdown on anyone that engages in this violence. It is however, unclear what will happen to the case but the policeman will be likely to be prosecuted.
Yesterday, a woman killed her husband for unknown reasons. The woman then sent a text message to the man's mother to tell her that the son is dead.
