Residents of Masimba, Makueni County have closed Nairobi to Mombasa road following the death of one them. The man was involved in a tragic accident, where he died on the spot as he was hit by a bus that was on high speed. When the driver saw that he was was trying to escape where residents of Masimba decided to stop him from doing that.
The residents of Masimba have claimed that the drivers are driving at high speed and recklessly. They have requested all drivers using the same route to follow traffic rules that are supposed to be followed.
The body of dead man was taken to kilome nursing hospital, where county commissioner witnessed what had happened and he called a meeting to all Masimba residents, for they had closed that road and promised them to ensure safety measures are followed on that route.
Since the road was closed for some hours their were no movement in and out of that area, thus causing a traffic jam. So county commissioner have send warning to all drivers who are not following traffic rules and has said whoever will be note wil be fined.
