Trending: Gachagua Shares Pay Bill Number To Assist Victims Of Drought

The committee formed to respond to the current drought in Kenya has announced how citizens can send money to families in need.

Rigathi Gachagua, the country's vice president, posted the payment number on Twitter.

If you would like to donate to the appeal fund, you can do so by sending a payment to the following PayPal address: pay bill number 880990, account number [your name].

A further option is to make a contribution to the National Drought Mitigation Appeal Fund at the Kenya Commercial Bank's Riverside Branch, account number 1305486137.

According to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, customers of M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and Telkom's T-Kash can use the same pay bill number.

saying, "We thank Kenyans and all our friends for their ongoing support toward this route," he thanked his audience.

On Friday, the DP urged Kenyans who are able to do so to contribute a portion of their income toward efforts to alleviate hunger.

He disclosed that the Kenya Defense Forces and New York State employees had made a selfless donation of one day's pay to feed hungry Kenyans.

According to Gachagua, the funds would be used for the reaction fund.

He stated that the organization is "appealing to Kenyans of good will to contribute as a percentage of their salary to a pay bill number we will be announcing soon."

"We cannot and must not wait for future dry seasons before acting," the DP emphasized.

He praised the religious organizations that he stated were responsible for the food mobilization in response to the devastating famine.

Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom, is in charge of the committee, which also includes other prominent private bank CEOs.
