A teacher at Manyatta Primary School in Awendo is nursing injuries.This is after unknown attackers chopped off his wrist, bludgeoned his ribs and face on January 22.
The male teacher who is currently hospitalized at Migori level four hospitals. Was attacked while on his way home. According to Awendo Sub County police commander Mrs,Mary Musyoka. Said the survivor indicated that the attackers were six in number and they were in a probox.
The Sub County Police Commander said, the teacher who was left in serious pain after the attack. Spent the night inside the bush. Until morning when the family members rushed him to the hospital.
She said the chopped wrist was found at the scene of the attack. Mrs Musyoka, also said the attackers of the teacher took his two phones and kshs 6000.
The motive of the attackers is still unknown. According to the police boss, the probe is underway.The incident comes amid concern over arising of insecurity. This is after the past one week two people including the a watchman have been killed.
