A 29-year-old man committed suicide on Saturday night in his house in Umoja estate following a domestic squabble with his lover.
The woman is reportedly said to have threatened to end their marriage. After the squabbles, the lady allegedly picked her clothes and returned back to her matrimonial home in Dandora.
The man only identified as Brayo was angry with the move and penned down a short text message to his distressed wife telling her that he want to commit suicide. ‘nimekuwachia dunia.’
Shocked with the text, the lady called the man severally to convince him not to take his life but the his mobile was unreachable.
Moved by her emotions, she went back to her house on Sunday morning together with Brayo’s brother to check on him, only to find his lifeless body lying on the bed.
Brayo is reportedly said to have killed himself using a poisonous liquid.
The matter was reported at Umoja administration police post.
The scene of crime sleuths visited the house, processed the scene reports and took the body of the deceased to Mama Lucy hospital morgue pending autopsy.
