Teresia Wairimu was once accused by children of the late Gerishon Kirima of locking their father in house by welding doors using grills and and ensured he did not get out. It's something that heavily angered Kenyans who really did not imagine such suffering of one becoming a prisoner in their own home.
Wairimu had locked her husband in the house where his legs got swollen that they did not fit in a polythene bag. However the police intervened and broke the doors which were all grilled to keep him from family and finally freed him. Wairimu has since then kept off public limelight since the death of her husband always focusing her energies in matters the family businesses.
Teresia Wairimu is however a politician like his late father but a person highly focused in achieving success through hardwork. Though not in good terms with the late Gerishon Kirima's children, she has always focused in creating good relations among the family members to ensure the family remained strong and united together.
