According to sources, the two employees comprises of a security personnel and one staff member at the hotel. Reports indicates that they were hacked to death by a group of 8 thugs that had invaded the hotel.
While confirming the unfortunate incident, Murang'a County DCI Boss Cecilia Mugambi said that the armed thugs entered the restaurant in the wee hours of the morning attacking the security guard who was on duty and a staff member who was reporting to work.
The guard died on the spot while the staff worker died while receiving treatment at the nearest hospital. DCI reported that their officers arrived at the scene and found the guard dead while the staff was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Mrs Mugambi told the press that the DCI will use the newly launched DCI forensic laboratory to conduct a search on the thugs. The incident happens at the time when similar incidents have been reported in the area. Locals have urged police officers in the area to protect traders by providing security.
