The late Ambassodor Orie Rogo who happens to be the Former National Council of Non-Governmental Organisations chairperson died on 8th September 2021. Rogo who is remembered as the first lady to drive in the Sarari rally has been offered a five day extensive state of art send off.
Orie's send off journey started on 5th of October 2021 with a Requim mass at the All saints cathedral in Nairobi. The body of the late Orie Rogo was ferried using a landrover limousine from delights funeral services. On the fleet Delights also added some land cruisers and a Mercedes benz Later on the 6th of October the body was flown to Kisumu county where again it was received by the Landrover limousine at the airport. The body was then taken to St Stephen Cathedral church. Afterwhich the burial will take place on Saturday, October 9 at her farm in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.
According to sources the Range Rover Limousine has been hired for five days and at a cost of five hundred daily. This means that the family will part away with 2.5 million. Then besides that the estimated cost of ferrying the body from Nairobi to Kisumu is around twenty thousand plus tickets of close family members which might go upto around fifty thousand. From Kisumu To kitale the body will also be flown via Eldoret then transported through the road to Kitale. The total cost being estimated to be sixty thousand.
According to a rough estimate including the charge at the morgue for almost a month, total expenditure which will include drinks and food is five million. Rogo's send off turns to be one that even most prominent people have not been accorded.
