Kenyans React As Matatu Strike Fails To Take Place In Retaliation Against Hiked Fuel Prices

Actions speak louder than words. This is seem to be the perfect wise saying that should be dedicated to all the Kenyans who had overnight declared to embrace the nationwide matatu strike but things seem to be flowing as normal in the morning. This was in line with the planned demonstration against the hike of fuel prices by the Kenyan government

According to an earlier notice by 'RoadAlertsKe' on Twitter, Kenyans were advised to abort all their trips today whereas others with cars were to go and park them in either Mombasa Road or Thika Road till the Government reduces the hiked fuel prices.

"Please note that all matatus and buses will be parked along Thika road for as long as the government will act on the above matter. All travellers are therefore adviced to postpone their travelling. Matatus and buses in Nairobi will not be operational until communicated," read part of the statement

However, this seem to have landed on deaf ears since business is usually in Nairobi roads. People seem to have aborted the plans to unite against the hiked fuel prices. Matatus are also in business as usual whereby many have hiked bus fares. Here are some of the reactions,
