"We Are Tired Of This" Naivasha Residents Wants The Government To Take Action

The world is still battling with covid-19 pandemic. Apart from this pandemic, there are other problems that are affecting people. Financial crisis, lack of jobs, social crime among others. Human suffering has accelerated during this period of covid 19 pandemic. The people of Kenya are not exceptional.

The residents of Naivasha who are mainly fishermen are crying for justice and action from the government. According to them, fishing in Lake Naivasha is becoming a hazardous venture due to constant attacks on fishermen by criminals.

According to Lake Naivasha Boat Owner Association chairman Mr David Kilo, gangsters are taking money from them.

“In 2000 the fisheries sector collapsed due to similar incidents, and if this happens it will mean massive job losses,” Phillip Mbala said. It is unfortunate that some rogue policemen and women are colluding with these gangsters.

They called security agencies to move quickly to restore the situation before things get out of hands.
