Dramatic scene was witnessed at the busy Mombasa road when a man aged twenty seven years identified as Alex Otieno badly beats two police officer who were controlling trafficking near the round about for allegedly insulting his wife.
According to an eye witness who sought anonymity for security reasons, the gentleman arrived in a white V8 and landed to the officers with kick and blows without taking time to understand why his sweetheart was arrested. "I promised to defend her all the time." He said. "You cannot take me anywhere. You should know people that you are dealing with." He added.
Conferming the incident, the area police boss disclosed the suspect was arrested by GSU officer who were deployed to disperse the crowd and is locked in cell waiting to be taken to court once the investigation is concluded. "He could have reported the officers in the nearest police station or write a letter of complaints to the independent police Oversight Authority for investigation." He stated.
