Meet Highly Experienced Ex-GSU Deputy Boss Who Is Now In-charge Of All Police Operations In Kenya

As the man in-charge of all police operations in the country, Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police Boniface Maingi is one of the most powerful and influential cops in Kenya today.

A former GSU deputy Commandant, Maingi has risen to one of the most senior ranks in the country's police service.

In November 2022, Maingi was appointed to one of the most influential positions in the country's police service when he was picked by the Inspector General of Police, Japheth Koome as the new director of operations at the police headquarters, Vigilance House.

Previously, Maingi who has over 30 years of experience in the police service, had served as the director of personnel at the police headquarters.

His previous role was taken over by Jacinta Muthoni, who is one of the most powerful women in the country's police service today.

As director of police operations, Maingi is the engine running the critical department in the service which deals with all police responses to emergencies.
