A family in Lugari Kakamega county is mourning the death of the son who drowned in river Nzoia three days ago.The man who drowned together with his one year old son is yet to be found.
It is believed the man had an argument with his wife and the wife decided to leave the marriage leaving behind her one year old son to be taken care of by the husband.
The child who was crying endlessly prompted the man to go look for the mother from the neighboring village across the river. His effort did not bear him fruits so on his way back he passed by a drinking spree and had his chang'aa before embarking on his journey.
On reaching river Nzoia the man accidentally slipped and fell into the river with his son on his back. The family has been left with agony they don't know what to do.
The search to find the two bodies is still on with the help of the county government and an organization known as ICARE his dad believes that he will find his son and take him home for burials.
