Murdered Woman's Body Found Stashed Inside a Suitcase, With a Note Written 'Bwana Ya Mtu ni Sumu'

Investigators are investigating a mysterious murder of a woman whose remains were on Monday evening found stashed inside a suitcase, and abandoned outside the GSU Recce squad camp at Kimbo area in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

According to a confirmation by Juja Sub-county Police Commander Ms. Dorothy Migarusha, the woman had been hacked to death.

The victim believed to be a young woman in her early twenties had her corpse stashed in a sack and packed in a black suitcase with her hands tied from behind.

"She had also been tied around the neck with a nylon rope. The body had a visible deep cut on the left breast," reads a police report on the incident.

Also attached to the strange luggage was a note that read, "bwana ya mtu ni sumu" and believed to have been authored by her killers.

Her chest, both palms and both thighs also bore the same writings, "bwana ya mtu ni sumu". Speculations were high that the woman might have been killed elsewhere and dumped alongside the perimeter wall of the highly guarded GSU Recce squad station.

According to locals, the body was discovered by pedestrians who notified the police. The body has been transferred to City Mortuary as investigations continue.
