Several Kenyans have been suffering under fake police officers who extort their money and other valuables.
Speaking on a local radio station, Bruno Shioso stated that there is a very big difference between a fake cop and real officer in how they conduct themselves.
Shioso stated that a real officer usually approaches Kenyans in a professional way and identify themselves through their official uniforms and name tags.
"It is very important for a police officer to identify themselves because of the nature of their work. This is because officers are powerful and other people can take advantage of that to give civilians sleepless nights.
If you are in uniform, you can have a name tag so that a reasonable person can know that this is a police officer." Bruno Shioso stated.
It is very important to distinguish a real police officer from a fake cop to avoid being victimised and blame innocent officers who might have no hand in any wrongdoings.
