The Thika highway has been significantly affected by huge traffic congestion that is brought up by minor and major accidents which happen due to drivers not following traffic rules.
This evening, traffic has been brought to a standstill at Githurai along Thika Highway which has paralysed movement to and from Nairobi CBD.

According to Ma3 route news reports, a road carnage involving multiple vehicles near Githurai has led to this massive traffic congestion along the Thika highway.
Traffic police officers have arrived at the scene to control this issue as more drivers have been advised to use alternative routes.
"Sema kimeumanaa Githurai outbound multiple crashes. Avoid kabisaa kwa sasa if you can. Affecting inbound traffic too.
Accident on Thika highway outbound at Githurai. Seek alternative routes." The reports stated.
