Dramatic scene was witnessed from a little known Bahati estate, Nakuru county in the former Rift Valley province after a man,25, identified as Gachuna was beaten to near death by residents for allegedly killing colleague using a Machete in broad daylight for calling him uncircumcised.
According to James Mwangi, a local or rather neighbour, the accused is a drug addict who spends most of the time moving from one alcohol bar to another taking illegal brew, have been implicated in similar cases before.
Conferming the incident, the officer commanding station at Bahati police post revealed the suspect was rescued by uniformed policemen who were in patrol and rushed him to Nakuru level five hospital where he was hospitalized. "He sustained main injuries on the head but is responding well to treatment and will be discharged soon from the facility." He said.
