William Ruto's Camp Under Sharp Criticism
William Ruto's camp has come under sharp criticism for not minding one of their bloggers who was arrested days ago for incitement. Owiti Owayo was arrested on 17th September after a Facebook post that says that interior CS Fred Matiangi would be harmed if the DP takes the presidency.
Owiti was slapped with Sh.300,000 cash bail before his case is mentioned on 17th October. He has taken to social media to beg Kenyans and the media to help him raise the amount. Netizens are calling him out for careless posting and defense of a politician who doesn't care."Daktari Owiti Owayo will be arraigned at Kiambu Law Court for Hearing on 7th October 2021. Always is the latest political detainee. He shall emerge stronger than ever before," Owayo posted.
His situation is being used as an example to bloggers, they have been advised to blog carefully and following the law since those they defend will not save them when they land in trouble.
"I appeal to all bloggers to blog with due diligence, you'll be arrested and no one will care about you, be careful my brothers and sisters. Bloggers should also have a union to fight for their rights," Lawyer Kipngetich Collins posted.
