Evans Wanjala was arrested today in Uasin Gishu county after he confessed on killing five young girls. It is said he lured them and later defiled them. Then, he struggled them to death before dumping their bodies. He led homicide detectives from the DCI headquarters to the five locations within Moi's bridge where he dumped the bodies of the girls.
He defiled Mary Elusa, 14 years of age before struggling her to death. He later dumped her body at Moi's bridge. He also defiled Grace Njeri, 12 years of age, and later hacked her to death. He disposed her body in a thicket in Sironi. Linda Cherono was his third victim whom he defiled, struggled to death and later dumped her body in Bahari Dam. He defiled Lucy Wanjiru, 13 years of age, struggled her to death and dumped her body in Moi's bridge. Lastly, he defiled Stacey Achieng, 12 years of age and later killed her. He dumped her body in River Nzoia.
In spite of that, he was wanted by the Makindu court order in Makueni for two defilement cases before he went to hide in Eldoret. He defiled two young girls in Kibwezi constituency where he worked. After doing the heinous act, he then ran to Eldoret.
More investigation is being carried out before he is areigned to the court of law to respond to his charges.
