Hanna Njeri, a Kenyan woman who died in Saudi Arabia in August this year was laid to rest in an emotional send off at Emburua, Elementaita, in Nakuru county.
Hanna was reported to have died after fleeing her employees home due to mistreatment. She went to a police station to seek refuge but sadly fell off from the third floor and succumbed to the injuries.
Her husband Jackson Karanja who is yet to come into terms with her death revealed that some people said she was thrown while others said she fell off accidentally. Bringing her body to the country was a hard task for the family until the story was aired by the media.
Gilgil Member of Parliament Martha Wangari was among those who attended the burial to comfort the family. While addressing the mourners, she said that the Parliament is in the process of setting up policies to protect Kenyans working in the gulf countries.
Our condolences to Hanna Njeri's family members and friends.
