Cases of kidnaping over the past one year has been on the rise in Kenya. Last month a serial kidnapper admitted to have been involved in kidnaping and killing his victims most of who were young children.
In April 2021, Tina Sammy lost her baby who was nine months to a kidnapper. The kidnapper was a customer who visited her to buy some beauty products.
Tina met the woman in one of the online platforms where she has been marketing her beauty products.
The woman had spent some hours in their home before disappearing with the baby boy whose name is Mohammed Santo Taki.
The woman who was accompanied by her teenage daughter tricked her and in a matter of time dissapeared with the baby.
Good news is that the mother has found her baby safe and sound after almost four months of searching for him. The child is currently under child care organization in Kisumu County.
The woman who mastermind and did the kidnaping has also been arrested and is under the police custody awaiting to be taken to court.
