Mombasa county residents have been going through difficulties as the young, armed gangs deprive them of peace. Robbery with violence has been increasing in Mombasa county of late. The gang is believed to be having sharp and deadly weapons that make it difficult for ordinary police officers to deal with them.

The juvenile gangs have been seen operating and organizing deals in groups in Mombasa town streets. This has therefore scared so many people as they fear opening their business premises during the night hours.

The security agencies led by the cabinet secretary of interior Dr Fred Matiang'i has today assured the Mombasa county residents that security will be restored. According to the reports, the government has deployed a special squad which will help to reduce robbery and killings in Mombasa county.

This is therefore a big blow to the juvenile gangs as they will be stopped and arrested so as to reduce the losses that have been experienced in the city. This will however bring back the lost hope to the residents with big businesses within the city.
