Twist as Businessman Who Vanished 2 Years Ago is Found Amongst Yala Bodies Tied With Ropes

For the past one week, Yala river in Siaya County has been trending for all the wrong reasons.

This was after several bodies were discovered in the river that has caused uproar and panic around the country.

After the recovery, families with missing kins have been urged to visit te facility to help identified the bodies as DCI continues with the DNA and more investigations

Sadly, another family from Busia county on Wednesday said they have identified their kin, who disappeared two years ago, at the Yala sub-county hospital mortuary.

Magdalene Okituyi and Maurice Atiyang said that their father, Donosio Oteba Okituyi, was abducted in Busia town on February 7, 2020, at around 3:30 pm. He was 54-years-old when he disappeared.

According to the young lady they could not easily identify her dad's body, however out of a leg scar they managed to find him.

"He was tightly tied with ropes showing signs of serious torture", she said sobbing.

According to detectives the middle-aged man seem to have been drowned by his killers or killed then dumped into the river.

Currently, an identification process is underway to help families with closure.
