There was a lot of tension in Mombasa as detectives nab most wanted robbery with violence suspect on Wednesday morning.

The accusee; Samuel Gona Kaingu, was arrested by DCI detectives as heading to the Mombasa Law courts.

“The officers had been tipped-off that the 21-year-old most wanted suspect would be presenting himself for in court for an on-going robbery with violence offence. The report gotten from a curious and concerned citizen was true, when the miscreant toured the court premises, only to be nabbed by detectives,” a report by the DCI read in part.

After seeing the DCI officers, Samuel tried to escape police dragnet but was handcuffed and taken to cell.

Police confirmed that the accused will be placed in court to face different charges of robbery with violence.

His arrest came barely few hours when the anti-terror police unit in Tinderet, Nandi County nabbed a female suspect connected to the Al-Shabaab militants.

The 22-year-old terror suspect's fellow residents in Tinderet told police of her “illegal” activities, hence her apprehension.
