Patrick Mumo, the suspect aged 45, is alleged to have forcefully entered his mother’s bedroom at around 8pm before subjecting her to the revolting act. He later then fled never to be seen again until today.
“She tearfully narrated her harrowing ordeal in the hands of her younger son who forced himself into her bedroom and subjected her to the beastly act,” the police statement read.
The victim was found in the morning in her bedroom by her eldest son writhing in pain and complaining of waist pains. She was then immediately rushed to Kisau sub county hospital in serious condition where she is currently undergoing treatment.
“Doctors at the medical facility confirmed that the victim had indeed been raped,” the DCI noted.
The DCI are now calling upon the suspect to surrender himself to any nearby police station before he is caught from his hiding place.
“Detectives are appealing to Patrick Mumo to give himself up at the earliest available opportunity, before the long arm of the law catches up to him,” the DCI noted.
The DCI also called on members of the public who might have any information that might lead to the apprehension of the suspect to contact them immediately for Patrick has become a threat to the whole society.
“Should you have any information that may assist us to bring the suspect to justice feel free to contact us via our hotline,” the DCI reiterated.
